RAJESH K. GUPTA

Professor and Qualcomm Endowed Chair,
University of California, San Diego

Rajesh Gupta is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego, California. He leads the Microelectronic Embedded Systems Lab with research focus on design, optimization and EDA tools for architectural accelerators. Among his earlier related projects are MORPH, AMRM and Celerity accelerator designs and SPARK parallelizing synthesis tools.  Gupta holds the Qualcomm Endowed Chair in Embedded Microsystems, and the INRIA International Chair at Rennes, Bretagne Atlantique. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the ACM and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He currently serves as the founding director of the Halicioglu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego. He did his undergraduate education at IIT-Kanpur and his graduate education at UC Berkeley and Stanford.
